PEP, a clean energy specialist with over 30 years of experience, was not well-known in the industry. The company had accumulated legacy businesses and needed to redefine its core business message and digital presence to improve brand awareness and lead generation as business objectives.
Our team, consisting of an Account Manager (me), Corporate Arrairs Specialist and a Copywriter conducted a messaging audit and developed refreshed brand message that aligned with how PEP wanted position itself.

Brand Messaging & Marketing Strategy

PEP recognised the gap between its online presence and the messages it wanted to convey. To address this, the most effective solution was to conduct a messaging audit in order to reposition the brand.

The Challenge: PEP cooperated well and provided us with a lot of information for the audit. However, the team was specific about word usage and wanted to include as much detail as possible in the messaging. This led to a wordy and complex message, which was not our desired outcome. As a result it took several revisions to find the right balance in the messaging.
Our Solution: The messaging audit began with a comprehensive market analysis to understand the competitive landscape and identify key messaging opportunities. PEP's SWOT analysis and understanding the target audience's pain points and priorities was a key part of the process.
Based on the findings, we created a brand messaging framework highlighting PEP's unique value. This emphasised its expertise in energy transition, role in promoting energy security, and commitment to long-term partnerships.
As a next step, we updated the website copy, including sitemap optimisation. To share the new messaging I created a content callendar that included case studies, articles, press releases, and social media posts. These aimed to showcase PEP's expertise, successful projects, and client benefits.
To boost PEP's brand awareness, we developed communications strategy which involved events, speaker programs, and enhancing online and social media outreach.

Client's Result: The project successfully elevated PEP’s brand visibility and positioned them as trusted advisors in the energy sector. The refined messaging resonated well with the target audience, leading to increased inquiries and engagement from potential clients.
